13 Jan
I wasn’t sure I’d have time for a PT session today. So, I didn’t bring workout clothes. Naturally, that meant I had to hit the gym in uniform—good times. It also meant my exercise options were limited. But hey, OWE!
20-Minute E2MOM
Rep Scheme:
5 – 5 – 5 – 3 – 3 – 1 – 1
Movements:
Game Plan
For thrusters, I wanted to hit at least 185lbs. Front squats? Start at my last thruster weight and keep adding 10lbs per set.
Thrusters
- 95lbs
- 115lbs
- 135lbs
- 155lbs
- 185lbs
- 205lbs (New PR! 🎉)
Front Squats
- 205lbs
- 215lbs
- 225lbs
- 245lbs
- 255lbs (Another PR! 🚀)
Reflections
- On that 185 thruster, I managed to smack myself in the chin. Good times.
- When I tried 205, I was way more careful (no repeat chin shots, thankfully).
- Pressing strength definitely needs work—locking out that 205 was rough.
- Front squats? Honestly, I probably had 265 or even 275 in me, but after all those thrusters, my legs were toast.
All in all, Two PRs in one session—I’ll take it. Thanks for reading! OWE!
